Flare Radiation Study — Mozambique
Project Overview
Flare radiation and dispersion analysis for a greenfield onshore gas processing facility in Mozambique, covering the main production flare under maximum credible relief load, the cold vent stack, and the pilot flare.
Technical Scope
- Standards
- API 521
- Region
- Mozambique
- Components
- Production flare, cold vent, pilot
- Compliance
- Mozambican environmental regs
- Client
- Confidential
Engineering Approach
Analysis was performed to API 521 methodology, determining equipment and personnel exclusion zones for the facility plot plan.
Proposed flare tip height and horizontal offset were validated against the applicable radiation intensity limits, with compliance confirmed for ground-level flammable gas concentrations under Mozambican environmental regulations.
The study was issued as a formal standalone engineering report with radiation contour maps and a regulatory compliance matrix.
